Manufacturer Bounces Back With Sentinel CloudSelect

Environment

Sentinel has been working with the customer since 2007, providing many new IT solutions and infrastructure upgrades during that time. This has included Cisco solutions for voice, wireless, and UCS, as well as storage and backup solutions.

Challenge

One of the customer’s critical IT administrators who was largely responsible for the day-to-day management and support of their technology infrastructure decided to leave the company. They needed to find a replacement without placing any additional burden on their lean IT staff, and turned to Sentinel for help. The customer’s work with the U.S. Department of Defense also required that they be NIST compliant, which Sentinel was equipped to assist them with.

Solution

Sentinel recommended that the customer transition much of their environment into the cloud, as it would be much easier for them to manage with a smaller IT staff and could easily scale out as their business continued to grow. The customer invested in several Sentinel CloudSelect solutions, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Backup as a Service (BaaS), Disaster Recovery on Demand (DRoD), Security as a Service (SECaaS), and C3. Sentinel also provided managed services to make it easier for their environment to remain stable, secure, and optimized.

Results

Sentinel's CloudSelect solutions relieved much of the burden on the customer's IT department, which has enabled them to focus more on achieving business goals and building for the future. The customer intends to double in size over the next two years, and now have a highly scalable environment so they can expand with ease. These changes have also made them proactively NIST compliant. Their Group IT Controller recently commented on the company's relationship with Sentinel: "...You are still delivering and remain agile and adaptable. I still trust in you to deliver." The partnership between Sentinel and the customer continues to grow along with the company, and they are preparing to add new virtual machines and servers into their environment in the near future.
