Sentinel Technologies Partners with Illumio

Mon March 06, 2023

Downers Grove, Illinois (March 6, 2023) — Sentinel Technologies, Inc and Fortis by Sentinel today announced a new partnership with Illumio, the Zero Trust Segmentation company. Sentinel and Fortis will offer the Illumio Zero Trust Segmentation platform to help organizations stop breaches from spreading across the hybrid attack surface.

Despite record spending on cybersecurity, the world continues to experience more frequent and devastating breaches—in the past two years alone, 76 percent of organizations were attacked by ransomware. The hyperconnectivity that comes with digital transformation makes organizations increasingly vulnerable. Attacks continue to break through perimeter defenses and move, often undetected, to access critical assets and infrastructure.

Zero Trust Segmentation (ZTS) is a modern security approach that contains and minimizes the impact of breaches and ransomware. Illumio ZTS prevents breaches from spreading across endpoints, clouds, and data centers by continually visualizing how workloads and devices are communicating, creating granular policies that only allow wanted and necessary communication, and automatically isolating breaches by restricting lateral movement proactively or during an active attack. Illumio allows organizations to see their risk and protect hybrid IT with ZTS to reduce their risk and build resilience to today’s threats.

"Through our partnership with Illumio, we are proud to offer our customers a cutting-edge security solution that proactively prevents breaches from spreading and minimizes the impact of attacks.  Illumio's Zero Trust Segmentation platform provides continuous visibility into workload and device communication, granular policy enforcement, and automatic isolation of breaches. With Illumio, organizations can reduce their risk and build resilience to today's threats in their hybrid IT environments, “ said Robert Keblusek, Chief Innovation & Technology Officer at Sentinel.

“Today's pervasive ransomware attacks and catastrophic breaches have confirmed that current cybersecurity approaches are failing, and organizations need to implement a Zero Trust architecture to build resilience to inevitable breaches,” said John Ryan, Vice President of Global Channel Sales at Illumio. “Segmentation is a critical pillar of any successful Zero Trust strategy that dramatically reduces organizations' risk from cyberattacks, and we’re thrilled to partner with Sentinel Technologies and Fortis by Sentinel to jointly deliver great value in market.”

“Traditional Digital Forensics & Incident Response is often limited in flexibility to recover due to limitations in hardware and network configurations that require complicated re-work of existing infrastructures. With Illumio, we can increase the speed of isolation and recovery using a rapidly deployable agent and configuration package. Doing so provides for cost savings, speed, to recovery, and enhanced controls against secondary threat actor activities,” said Ted Joffs, Manager of Incident Response, Sentinel Technologies and Fortis By Sentinel.
